Process

From first enquiry to report

Enquiry & conflict check

An initial conversation establishes the matter, the issues, the procedural stage and the likely scope. A conflict check is carried out immediately. There is no charge for this stage.

Terms & letter of instruction

On confirmation of scope, terms of engagement are issued together with a fee estimate and, where appropriate, a draft letter of instruction for approval.

Review & investigation

Documents are reviewed, site inspections carried out where required, and where appropriate factual witnesses and other experts are engaged with under the directions of the Tribunal.

Report

A draft report is produced addressing each matter in the letter of instruction, with reasoned opinion, supporting analysis, and appendices. The draft is reviewed with instructing solicitors before finalisation.

Joint statements, meetings of experts & hearings

Where directed, participation in experts' meetings, joint statements, responsive/supplementary reports, and attendance at hearing for cross-examination.
